Forrest Williams, a Texas A&M University graduate and former long-range planner for the Town of Flower Mound, began his work with the city on February 17th after being hired by Caldwell City Administrator Camden White.
Williams succeeds past Main Street Manager Michelle Mahfouz, who left the city around a year ago, although Williams is not just focusing on Main Street.
Williams will have his first official meeting with the Main Street Board this (Tuesday) afternoon at 5:30 p.m., where he will present his plans and ideas for downtown Caldwell.
Williams’ efforts so far have included developing a volunteer program at the library to bring more activities there, repainting the outside of the Civic Center and updating the inside of the building to allow for more gatherings, and the developing of a new website for the city, which is expected to launch within next week.
