ROBBERY AT POST OAK MALL IN COLLEGE STATION LEADS TO ACTIVE SHOOTER REPORTS, BRIEF SHELTER-IN-PLACE WARNING

  

The all-clear has been given at Post Oak Mall in College Station, after police responded to an active shooter report this (Tuesday) afternoon.

College Station police responded to the mall around 1:30 p.m., issuing a shelter-in-place warning to anyone inside the mall.

Around 1:45 p.m., officers confirmed that no shots were fired, and that the sounds reported as gunshots were most likely the sound of display case glass being broken during a potential attempted robbery at the Zales jewelry store.

Police said it was safe to resume activities as normal, and began looking for witnesses in the robbery investigation.
