Stores in Brenham are seeing their stock of certain items vanish amidst the widespread coronavirus scare.
Several aisles in the Brenham Walmart and H-E-B have been hit particularly hard, with items like bleach, dried beans, macaroni and cheese, and even toilet paper nearly or completely selling out.

Items such as soap, hand sanitizer, and water were also running low, as shoppers stock up due to the growing concerns about the new virus.
Some retailers, including Walmart and H-E-B, have started rationing the sale of certain products, putting limits on how many a shopper can buy at one time.

Both Walmart and H-E-B have issued statements in regards to the coronavirus, which has been labeled a pandemic by the World Health Organization. The two said they are taking additional preventative measures to keep their stores clean, including keeping additional cleaning supplies in high-touch and high-traffic areas.

Shoppers are encouraged to take preventative measures of their own, such as shopping when stores are less crowded, buying only what they need, and washing their hands after putting away groceries.
