PRAIRIE VIEW A&M SUSPENDING CLASSES NEXT WEEK DUE TO CORONAVIRUS

Prairie View A&M University has announced it will be suspending classes next week to address the threat of the novel Coronavirus.

Prairie View A&M’s Office of Academic Affairs released a statement Wednesday saying the university will resume classes on Monday, March 23rd.  Faculty and staff will still be required to report to work.

The university says it will use next week to focus on additional faculty training for online classes and software.

The university encourages students to remain off campus, but still engage in their learning by working on assignments, reading their textbooks, and reviewing other lecture materials.

While classes will be suspended, the university’s dining, transportation, health, counseling, and other services will still be available.

As of Wednesday, no one within the campus community had tested positive for the new virus.
