BLINN TRUSTEES CANCEL TUESDAY MEETING
Due to ongoing COVID-19 developments, the board meeting scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) for the Blinn Board of Trustees has been postponed.
An announcement will be forthcoming regarding the new date and time of this meeting.
The College last week extended spring break for all students and employees and closed its campuses until next Monday, March 23rd. Any events scheduled to take place at a Blinn location during this time period are cancelled.
Upon the return to campus, Blinn will implement “social distancing” on all Blinn campuses. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), social distancing means remaining out of congregate settings, avoid mass gatherings, and maintaining approximately six feet distance from others when possible.
In addition, several upcoming College events have either been postponed or cancelled. The College has cancelled its Boots and Blue Jeans fundraiser event set for March 28th in Sealy, and the Alumni and Friends Association has postponed its Clay Shootout scheduled for April 17th near Snook.
All prospective student campus tours are being cancelled, and Preview Day events are being rescheduled to include no more than 50 people per event.
