UPDATE: ONE KILLED, TWO INJURED IN SUNDAY NIGHT SHOOTING IN WASHINGTON CO.

  

Update @ 11:15 a.m.: Local authorities continue their investigation into a deadly shooting Sunday night near the Washington County-Grimes County line.

According to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak, multiple law enforcement agencies and Washington County EMS responded at around 9:45 p.m. to a reported shooting with injuries at an establishment in the 20000 block of Washington Bridge Road.

Upon arrival, deputies located two people with gunshot wounds, who were treated by EMS at the scene and then transported to medical facilities.

One of the victims, 20-year-old Derrick Anthony Davis, Jr. of Hempstead, was pronounced dead at a hospital in Navasota.

A second victim, identified as 50-year-old Washington County resident Patricia Ann-Coleman Cross, was taken to a hospital in College Station, where she was treated for an upper body gunshot wound and later released.

Authorities say a third victim, 29-year-old Ronneisha Rutherford of College Station, was grazed by a bullet and treated at the scene.  She was then taken in a private vehicle to a College Station hospital, where she was later released.

In addition to the gunshot victims, several vehicles at the scene were struck by bullets.  Investigators interviewed numerous witnesses and remained on scene throughout the night, collecting and processing evidence.  Hanak said the investigation continues, and an update will follow as details become available.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by DPS Troopers, Texas Rangers, Navasota police, Washington County Precinct Four Constable Greg Rolling, Texas Game Warden Kyle Yoder, and the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Original Story @ 6:22 a.m.: Three people were injured Sunday night in a shooting incident near the Washington County-Grimes County line.

Law enforcement officials from the Washington and Grimes County Sheriff’s Offices, Navasota police, and DPS were called out shortly before 10 p.m. to Washington Bridge Road, between Highway 105 and FM 1155.

According to authorities, a man and woman were shot, while a third person was grazed by a bullet.  The conditions of the three were not immediately known.

Authorities have not made any arrests at this point, but they did bring in a group of people at a nightclub on the street for questioning.
