BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS COVID-19 IN EMERGENCY MEETING WEDNESDAY

The Burton School Board will hold an emergency board meeting this (Wednesday) afternoon to discuss the COVID-19 situation.

According to Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy, the board is expected to make a determination on the future of classes in the district.

Currently, Burton ISD has suspended classes until Monday, but several area school districts, including Brenham ISD, have called off classes through Friday, April 3rd.

The board will meet this afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Burton High School Auditorium.  The meeting is open to the public.
