GRIMES CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE RELEASES MORE INFORMATION IN FATAL SHOOTING CASE

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of two men involved in a weekend shooting south of Anderson.

Saturday night, at around 9:45 p.m., investigators responded to a disturbance at a residence on County Road 215, near FM 1774.

Officers determined there was a confrontation between two men, now identified as Nathan Seeman and Zachary Ham.  According to the Sheriff’s Office, the confrontation ended with Ham shooting Seeman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say investigators are interviewing all parties involved, and are gathering evidence from the scene.  They say Ham is currently cooperating with law enforcement, but has not yet been charged.

All statements and evidence will be presented to the Grimes County District Attorney for review, relating to any potential criminal charges.  The case will later be presented to a Grimes County Grand Jury.

The Sheriff’s Office says, as this is an ongoing investigation, no further details will be released.
