BRENHAM ISD ADDING TWO ADDITIONAL FREE MEAL SERVICE SITES

Starting on Monday, Brenham ISD will add two additional meal service sites for students during the school closure, providing drive-thru hot lunches and bagged breakfasts.

Early Childhood Learning Center Principal Toni Schwartz hands cartons of milk to a happy recipient Tuesday at Alton Elementary School. Starting Monday, lunches and breakfasts will now also be handed out at Brenham High School and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to Alton Elementary School, meals will now be provided at Brenham High School and Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church.

Meal pickups are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Alton Elementary School and Brenham High School, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church.

District staff will deliver food to vehicles, so families will not need to exit their vehicles to receive the meals.  Food will be provided for all children between the ages of 1 to 18.  Children must be present in the vehicle to receive the meal.

The district continues to work on a plan to meet the needs of students and families who are without transportation or live in remote areas of the community.
