CANCELED – BJHS TEACHERS TO HOLD CAR PARADE THROUGH NEIGHBORHOODS

Teachers at Brenham Junior High School will be leading a car parade this (Wednesday) afternoon through several Brenham neighborhoods to visit with students they may not have seen in a while.

The parade will depart from Brenham Junior High School at 4:15 p.m., with School Resource Officer Sierra Newell leading the processional.

According to Brenham ISD Communications Director Jessica Johnston, the parade route is still being finalized, but it will try to avoid major roads and traffic lights to avoid creating traffic congestion.  Johnston said the parade will end either when the sun goes down, or when it reaches the end of the route.

Brenham Junior High School teachers are reaching out to parents to let them know about today’s parade.  The campus is working on a plan to parade through other neighborhoods outside of city limits in the coming weeks.
