BRYAN MAN ARRESTED AFTER 5-WEEK OLD DAUGHTER SERIOUSLY INJURED
(Brazos Co. Jail)
A Bryan man is in police custody, after allegedly beating his five-week old daughter.
The infant is in a Houston hospital, recovering from a skull fracture, fractured ribs and bruising to her body.
19-year old Gabriel Anthony Sanchez was arrested at his Bryan apartment after the child was taken to a hospital emergency room by her mother.
She told police she was contacted at work by Sanchez who claimed the child fell off a bed and wouldn't stop crying.
Sanchez later admitted to police he slapped the infant after becoming frustrated with her crying but claimed the other injuries were caused after he threw the child on the bed. He told police the baby bounced off the bed and fell onto the floor.
Investigators said the child had a handprint on her abdomen that wrapped around to her back, a contusion to both eyes, bruising on her left cheek, swollen face, bloody nose and bruising on her legs.
Sanchez remains in the Brazos County Detention Center on a $70,000 bond. He's charged with Injury to a Child.
Lord in Heaven heal this baby
Poor baby. So innocent. Heck the father is just a baby but that did not stop him from making a baby. Well to the babies Mom if he will do this to a baby just imagine what he will do to you or anyone else for that matter. This should be a real eye opener for you. I know its not your fault but lessons are learned every day and too bad it had to be this poor baby to be part of your learning process.
I hope, for this baby’s sake, the mother and ESPECIALLY the family- leaves him in there until he’s sentenced and think about the child first. No matter the blood, no matter the love, no matter the tears. Sadly, many people do this to babies when they can’t handle being a parent, and no one expects it. LET HIM SIT THERE AND THINK ABOUT WHAT HE COULD’VE DONE … wishing for her full recovery… <'3
Very sad , Lord do thy will.
