GOV. ABBOTT EXTENDS COVID-19 DISASTER DECLARATION FOR 30 DAYS
Governor Greg Abbott has extended the state’s COVID-19 disaster declaration for all Texas counties.

Abbott on Sunday extended the declaration for 30 days, after it was originally issued on March 13th. The declaration provides the state a number of resources to serve Texans as state officials work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Abbott said by extending the declaration, the state is ensuring it continues to have adequate resources and capabilities to support communities and protect public health.
Abbott urged all Texans to continue practicing social distancing and abide by the guidelines set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as his previous executive orders.
