LEE, BASTROP, MILAM CO. LAW AGENCIES BREAK UP BURGLARY RING
An estimated $15,000 in property has been returned to a Lee County resident, after a burglary ring was stopped by several law enforcement agencies.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that through a joint investigation conducted by it, the Bastrop and Milam County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Giddings Police Department, a burglary ring operating in all three counties was identified and broken up.
Through the investigation, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, two trucks and nearly all the tools stolen from a Serbin resident were recovered. Investigation also led to the solving of a burglary in Bastrop County, with the missing property returned to those victims. Authorities also identified a “chop shop” operating in Milam County.
Due to the investigation remaining ongoing, the names of the suspects will not be released until all charges have been filed.
