EARLY VOTING UNDERWAY FOR BELLVILLE CITY COUNCIL ELECTION; BELLVILLE, SEALY ISD ELECTIONS MOVED TO NOVEMBER

  

Early voting has begun for the May 2nd election for the Bellville City Council, featuring two contested races and one unopposed race.

On the ballot, Alderwoman Position Three Donna Jacob faces challenger Ashley Slater, and Wayne Browning and Paul Looney are vying for the Position One seat currently held by Alderwoman Cassie Janish, who is not running for re-election.  Garrett Dornon is running unopposed for the Position Five seat held by longtime alderman and Mayor Pro Tem Doug Lottridge, who is also not seeking re-election.

Early voting began Monday and runs through next Tuesday, April 28th at Bellville City Hall, located on 30 South Holland Street.  Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. this week, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. next Monday and Tuesday.  Election Day voting on May 2nd is also from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sens Activity Center at 200 Briar Ridge Drive in Bellville.

Early voting also started Monday for the Sealy City Council election on May 2nd, but the only races on the ballot—Mayor Janice Whitehead and Councilmember Position One Dee Ann Lerma—are unopposed.

Meanwhile, both Bellville and Sealy ISD’s school board elections have been delayed until the General Election on November 3rd.
