The Austin County Special Response Team has received a donation of vital equipment.

The Sheriff’s Office and Special Response Team received a donation of four Tactical Vests from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

County Sheriff Jack Brandes says these vests are essential for the safety of the members and will provide an extra level of protection in emergency situations.

Brandes and the Austin County Special Response Team said they greatly appreciate the DPS for their “generous donation by providing these vests to have available in the event of an emergency.”
