EXTENSION OF LOCAL DISASTER DECLARATION APPROVED BY WASHINGTON CO. JUDGE, COMMISSIONERS TO ISSUE VOTE TUESDAY

Washington County Judge John Durrenberger has signed off on the extension of the county’s local disaster declaration until further notice.

Thursday, Durrenberger signed an extension of the declaration, which takes effect immediately.  Upon approval by Washington County Commissioners, the declaration will remain in effect until it is terminated by him.

Additional directives may be issued by Durrenberger at any time as deemed necessary, pursuant to the declaration.

As before, the declaration allows for the activation of the county’s emergency management plan and authorizes the furnishing of aid and assistance.  It also authorizes the county to take any actions necessary to promote health and suppress the COVID-19 coronavirus.
