COVID-19 CASES IN WASHINGTON CO. REMAIN AT 150 THROUGH WEEKEND, BUT DEATHS RISE

  

No new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed over the weekend in Washington County, but the number of patient deaths continues to increase.

As of this (Monday) morning, there are 150 positive cases of COVID-19 in the county, with the latest confirmed cases reported on Thursday.  Twenty patients have died from complications with COVID-19, with three deaths since the last new cases were reported on Thursday.  Five patients are hospitalized, while 26 have recovered.

Of the 150 positive cases, 102 are linked to the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with 80 residents and 22 employees testing positive.  Eighteen of the 20 COVID-19 related deaths in Washington County come from the facility.  One patient from there is hospitalized, while four of the cases are reported recovered.

Update @ 10:18 a.m.: According to the Washington County Joint Information Center (JIC), 108 COVID-19 tests were collected at the drive-thru COVID-19 test collection site Sunday at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  As of this morning, there have now been an estimated 881 tests performed on county residents within the county, with 127 tests performed at the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
