FIRE DEPARTMENT, EMS RESCUE LOCAL WORKERS
The Brenham Fire Department was called upon to help two men involved in a trench collapse, Saturday.
Just before 2:00 p.m., emergency personnel responded to Industrial Blvd for a report of a trench collapse with people involved.
On arrival fire fighters found two victims trapped. One was buried in dirt up to his thighs and the other patient was buried up to his knees.
The Fire Department, along with assistance from Washington County EMS, freed both victims with hand tools and extricated them using ropes, ladder and stokes basket.
The Fire Department assisted EMS with preparing the two, whose names have not been released, for transport to the hospital.
