WASHINGTON CO. TOTAL COVID-19 CASES AT 154 AFTER FOUR CASES REPORTED TUESDAY
Tuesday saw four new positive cases of COVID-19 be confirmed in Washington County, the first new cases reported in nearly a week’s time.
The four cases reported Tuesday are all in Brenham women, one in her 40s, two in their 70s, and one in her 90s. The cases, according to Washington County Joint Information Center (JIC) officials, are from the general public and are not linked to the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC). One of the women is hospitalized.
The county now has 154 positive cases of COVID-19, after having 150 reported cases since Thursday. Of the 104 active cases, six patients are hospitalized.
No new deaths were confirmed Tuesday, while one new recovery was reported. Twenty-nine patients have recovered from the virus, while 21 have died.
Tuesday’s numbers from the BNRC remain unchanged from Monday with 102 total cases, 80 of them active. Nineteen of the county’s 21 COVID-19 related deaths have been linked to the BNRC. One patient from the BNRC remains hospitalized, while three have recovered.
According to the JIC, an estimated 904 COVID-19 tests have been performed on county residents within the county, with 127 tests performed at the BNRC.
A drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will return to the Washington County Fairgrounds tomorrow (Thursday) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., after being stationed there Sunday. Signup is available starting today (Wednesday) at 8 a.m. by calling 512-883-2400, or visiting www.txcovidtest.org.
