BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL GIVES ADDITIONAL DETAILS ON UPCOMING GRADUATION, SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONIES

Brenham High School has provided some new details on next month’s scholarship and graduation ceremonies.

The in-person scholarship ceremony is slated for Monday, June 1st at 8 p.m. at Cub Stadium, while graduation will also be held in person on Saturday, June 6th at 8 p.m., also at Cub Stadium.

Attendees are asked to maintain social distancing protocols of six feet apart upon entering the stadium.  Guests within the same household may enter, exit, and sit together.  Seating for guests in the stadium will be arranged and marked to comply with social distancing orders.

Seniors will be spaced out on the football field at a minimum of six feet apart during the ceremonies.  Brenham ISD will collaborate with law enforcement to monitor compliance with health and safety protocols.

Campus and district administrators have determined that each graduating senior will receive four tickets to the graduation ceremony in order to maintain social distancing procedures.  Brenham ISD says the goal is to allow family members to participate in the occasion, but reiterates that the safety of staff, students, and families is paramount.  Students will be alerted should an opportunity arise to allow more tickets to the ceremony.

Brenham ISD is also exploring options to host a Brenham High School senior prom in June or July.  More information will be released based on the Governor’s orders regarding indoor gatherings.
