Camp For All President Pat Sorrells announced this week that because of COVID-19, the camp will remain closed through the summer, and will not reopen until after August 31st.  Sorrells said the decision was made out of concern for the health and safety of campers and staff, adding the decision was “very difficult”, but “very necessary”.

Sorrells said, due to the spring and summer closures, Camp For All is facing a “significant financial impact”, currently totaling a loss of roughly $1.2 million.  She said camp officials are working to generate funds so they can ensure that the camp and its staff are there when it comes time to safely reopen.

Meanwhile, Camp For All is asking the public to consider supporting the organization by participating in the “Pie in the Face Challenge”.  The campaign tasks participants with posting videos on social media of them getting pies thrown in their face, and nominating others to do the same.

Everyone who posts agrees to donate to Camp For All.  MOGAS Industries, Inc. has pledged to match donations up to $50,000.  As of this (Wednesday) morning, the organization has received $12,000.
