BLINN BOARD TO HOLD BUDGET WORKSHOP, RECEIVE COVID-19 UPDATE

The Blinn Board of Trustees will hold a pair of meetings Tuesday to discuss the College’s current state of affairs and plans for the future in light of COVID-19.

Blinn staff members listen to board trustees in Rooms 2 and 3 of the Brenham Campus Student Center as they held a meeting via teleconference March 26th. Public access to the board's meeting on Tuesday will also be limited to the student center, but the meeting will also be available on YouTube.

The board will first hold a workshop to discuss the budget for the 2020-21 Fiscal Year.  After the workshop, board members will hear an update in regular session on COVID-19 and College operations.

Trustees will also consider authorizing Blinn administrators to negotiate and execute a contract to develop a districtwide facilities master plan.  In addition, they will look to seek proposals for furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Innovation (STEI) Building on the Brenham Campus.  The board will also consider a contract for custodial services on the Brenham, Bryan, and RELLIS Campuses.

The board will meet at 4 p.m. for the workshop and 5:30 p.m. for its regular meeting.  Both meetings will be held in the Brenham Campus Administration Building.

Public access to the meeting will be limited to Rooms 2 and 3 of the Brenham Campus Student Center.  The public can also access the meeting through YouTube.
