COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY TO DISCUSS SOFTWARE

Washington County Commissioners are expected to approve new software for the county’s Environmental Health Department, when they meet Tuesday.

County Commissioners set to meet, Tuesday

Earlier this month, commissioners heard a request from County Engineer Ross McCall to purchase Asset Essentials Software Program for $15,580 from Dude Solutions.

McCall said the program will better help manage operations and maintain accountability in the Road and Bridge Department, at the fraction of the cost of an employee.

The department will make a presentation, followed by a vote on the purchase.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners will:

  • Discuss a grant application for Regional Solid Waste Grant with the Brazos Valley Council of Governments.
  • Discuss a Joint Election Agreement for November 3rd with the Burton Independent School District.
  • Hear monthly reports from: Emergency Management; Environmental Health; District Clerk; County Clerk; Justices of the Peace; Auditor; Tax Assessor/Collector; Treasurer; Constables; and Fairgrounds Management.

The meeting is set to begin Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Courthouse Annex.

  1. The software is not going to operate by itself. Aren’t you going to need an employee anyway?
