SOMERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL NAMES TOP 2020 GRADS
Somerville High School has announced the top two students in this year’s graduating class.

Gabrielle Kovasovic was named valedictorian with a grade point average of 3.96, while Ashlynn Sprouse was named salutatorian with a GPA of 3.86.
Kovasovic, the daughter of Dan and Jennifer Kovasovic, plans to attend Blinn College for two years, then transfer to Texas A&M University to seek a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree.

Sprouse, the daughter of Bill and Kimberly Sprouse, will attend Sam Houston State University and major in Kinesiology, specializing in Clinical Exercise Science.
Somerville High School’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th at 9 a.m. at The Rock, the district’s football stadium. Graduates will be limited to five guests, who will need to complete a COVID-19 screening before entering the stadium.
Somerville ISD will hold a drive-by celebration parade Wednesday between 5 and 6 p.m. Participants are asked to stay in their vehicles, drive by, and follow the school dismissal pickup route along 8th Street. The seniors will be lined up in front of the high school campus, while teachers and staff will be along the route.
