BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF WASHINGTON CO. OFFERING SUMMER CAMP

The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County will indeed be able to hold a summer camp this year.

With Governor Greg Abbott’s announcement last week paving the way for youth and summer camps to reopen, the Boys and Girls Club will offer four two-week-long sessions this summer.  Reservations are now open for the summer camp, which will begin Monday, June 8th and run through Friday, July 31st.

The camp will include daily outdoor activities, enrichment programs, and reading, art, and STEM activities.  It will also include breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Stephanie Wehring said even though this year’s program may look different due to COVID-19, the club is still focused on “providing a safe and fun environment” for its members.

Cost for the camp is $85 for current members, $135 for non-members.  Students who are six years old—going into 1st grade—through 18-year-olds in high school are eligible to attend.

The deadline to make a reservation for all sessions is Friday.  Spots are limited to 40 members a session, and children are only able to attend one two-week session.

Anyone interested in registering a child can go online to the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County Facebook page.
