WASHINGTON CO. TOTAL COVID-19 CASE COUNT UP TO 199, ACTIVE CASE COUNT DOWN TO 112
Washington County is now up to 199 confirmed cases of COVID-19 after three new cases were reported Wednesday.
The cases were confirmed in two men in their 20s and 40s, and one woman in her 40s. All three are Brenham residents.
However, the county’s active case count dropped to 112, after four new recoveries were reported. Sixty-one cases have recovered, nine patients remain hospitalized, and 26 have died from complications with the virus.
Numbers at the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC) are unchanged from the last new case report. A total of 110 cases have been reported, made up of 87 residents and 23 employees. Of the 70 active cases, two patients are hospitalized, while 17 have recovered. Twenty-three patients have died.
As of Wednesday, the county has performed an estimated 1,531 COVID-19 tests, 127 of them at the BNRC.
