LONG-SERVING WASHINGTON CO. CONSTABLE, FASKE’S JEWELRY CO-OWNER “BUTCH” FASKE DIES
A longtime Washington County Constable and co-owner of a long-standing jewelry store in downtown Brenham has died.
Carroll “Butch” Faske died this (Friday) afternoon after a battle with a brief illness.
Faske served as Precinct Two Constable of Washington County for 31 years, after taking office in January of 1989. County Judge John Durrenberger believes Faske may have been the longest serving county official of anyone in the history of the county.
Faske also owned Faske’s Jewelry in downtown Brenham with his brother, Morris Faske. The store celebrated its 75th anniversary in September.
Durrenberger said Faske had a “remarkable career as a constable”, and a “great wealth of knowledge”. He said Faske “will be missed by everyone”.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced at this time.
