VISITATION ARRANGEMENTS ANNOUNCED FOR “BUTCH” FASKE

Visitation arrangements have been announced for the late Carroll “Butch” Faske, longtime Washington County Constable and co-owner of Faske’s Jewelry in downtown Brenham.

Butch Faske

Faske died Friday at the age of 69 at Tomball Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Services are entrusted to Brenham Memorial Chapel, who will host a visitation service Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Due to COVID-19 concerns for public safety, a memorial service and interment will be scheduled at a later date.

Faske was the longest serving elected official in Washington County history, first taking office in January of 1989 as the Precinct Two Constable.  Prior to his 31-year career in law enforcement, he served as Assistant Chief of the Salem Volunteer Fire Department, and was a volunteer fireman with the Brenham Fire Department.  Faske’s Jewelry, owned by him and his brother, Morris Faske, celebrated its 75th anniversary in September.

Faske graduated from Brenham High School, Blinn College, and Kilgore College, and also received numerous law enforcement certifications through Texas A&M University.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Houston Area Rescue Team for homeless dogs at www.hartrescue.com or the charity of one’s choice.  A scholarship will be established in his name to aid those wishing to pursue a career as a Texas peace officer.
