THREE ARRESTED ON LOCAL WARRANTS OVER THE WEEKEND

  

 

Austin Barrett
(Washington Co. Jail)

Three people were taken into custody in Brenham on outstanding warrants over the weekend.

Friday morning, police responded to the 200 block of North Saeger Street to serve a warrant.

After investigation, 30-year old Austin Barrett of Brenham was placed in custody for two active warrants out of Washington County, both to Revoke Probation: for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

Friday evening, just after 9:30, police responded to the Hampton Inn on Schulte Blvd. in reference to a reported suspicious person.

Derek Phillips
(Washington Co. Jail)

The suspect originally provided them with a false name and date of birth.  After 52-year old Derek Phillips’ actual name was discovered and that he had active warrants for his arrest, he led authorities on a brief foot pursuit and was taken into custody.

Phillips, a resident of Hewitt, was arrested for Fail to Identify Fugitive Intentionally Give False Information, Evading Arrest/Detention, and warrants out of Austin Police for Assault Family Violence – Bodily Injury and Interference with a 911 Call.

Stephanie Triplett
(Washington Co. Jail)

Saturday night, just after 9:30, police on special assignment in the 1600 block of East Tom Green Street, observed 29-year old Stephanie Triplett of Bellville, who was wanted in warrants.

Triplett was taken into custody on a warrant out of Pardon and Parole and was transported to the Washington County Jail.
