WASHINGTON CO. REPORTS 18 COVID-19 RECOVERIES, THREE NEW CASES FRIDAY
Washington County’s active COVID-19 cases continue to dwindle, while recoveries continue their positive trend.
Friday, the county confirmed three new cases in two men and one woman, all from Brenham, ranging from their 20s to their 60s. The three bring the county’s total case count to 221, with five current hospitalizations and 27 deaths.
However, the number of active cases dropped to 61 after 18 new recoveries were reported, bringing the county’s recovery count to 133. Seventeen of the new recoveries were reported in patients at the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (BNRC), which now has 13 active cases and 74 recoveries.
The BNRC’s positive case count remains at 111, made up of 87 residents and 24 employees. No patients are currently hospitalized, while 24 have died from complications with the virus.
Through Friday, the county has performed an estimated 2,336 COVID-19 tests, 223 of them coming at the BNRC.
