UNITY THEATRE ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR 2020-21 SEASON

"FOREVER" SUBSCRIPTION PLAN ANNOUNCED

Unity Theatre in Brenham has laid out the red carpet for its 2020-21 season.

The theatre’s 26th season will feature four main stage shows and two studio shows, along with a new subscription plan for those concerned about possible show cancellations due to COVID-19.

The Main Stage Series will open with the comedic drama Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley, playing September 24th to October 11th.

The next performance will be the first in the Studio Series: Mark Twain’s The Diaries of Adam and Eve adapted by David Birney.  The dramatic comedy will be performed October 29th through November 8th.

Following that will be the holiday mystery The Game’s Afoot – Holmes for the Holidays by Ken Ludwig, playing December 3rd through the 20th on the Main Stage.

The first performance of the new year will be Ben Butler, a historical drama from Richard Strand.  The Main Stage performance will run February 4-21, 2021.

The second Studio Series production will follow with the performance of The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, a drama by James Lecesne, running from March 18-28, 2021.

Wrapping up the Main Stage season will be Barefoot in the Park, a romantic comedy by Neil Simon, playing May 6-23, 2021.

New for this season, Unity Theatre has created the FOREVER subscription, which allows subscribers to carry over any tickets for a cancelled performance into a future show or season.  Currently, the plan is for all shows to be performed on the Main Stage, with strict limited seating due to social distancing guidelines.  Subscribers will be given first choice on seating.

Subscriptions are currently on sale, and can be accessed through Unity Theatre’s website at www.unitybrenham.org.
