JULY 4TH CELEBRATION IN INDEPENDENCE TO HOLD ONLY FIREWORK SHOW

  

The annual 4th of July Celebration in Independence will take place but will only feature a firework show.

The show will begin around 9 p.m. near the Antique Rose Emporium. Community leaders say the show can be seen for miles, and suggest watching the show at Old Baylor Park, Independence Town Square, or from a vehicle parked on the side of any of the county roads in the area.

No other events are scheduled for the day. The event is hosted by Independence Community Events and sponsored by HEB in Brenham, along with other local businesses.
