FAYETTE COUNTY WARNING PUBLIC ABOUT GOLF CART AND UTV USAGE DURING ANTIQUES FAIR

  

The Antiques Fair is currently in full swing in the Round Top-Warrenton area.

As a public service, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office would like to give a friendly reminder of the Texas Laws regarding golf carts and UTV’s.

Please note that:

Texas Law does not permit the use of Golf Carts and UTV’s at this event.

Fayette County does not have an ordinance allowing these vehicles.

The speed limits on Hwy 237 where the Antiques Fair occurs are over 35 mph.

There is no golf course within two miles of the Round Top–Warrenton Fire Department.

There are no legal intersections in Warrenton to cross the roadway.

It does not matter if you have a license plate on your golf cart, it is still illegal.

You may not drive a golf cart, or UTV in the highway right-of-way, which includes the ditch area of a roadway.
