LINEUP ANNOUNCED FOR BRENHAM “MOVIES IN THE PARK”
The City of Brenham has announced the lineup for this year’s “Movies in the Park”.
The 11th season of the city’s popular summer movie series will feature “Toy Story 4” on Thursday, July 16th and “Aladdin”, the 2019 live-action film, on Thursday, July 30th.
Both movies will be shown at Hohlt Park—on the soccer field side—beginning approximately ten minutes after sunset.
The movie series typically begins in late May or early June, but had to be pushed into July due to COVID-19.
Community Services Specialist Crystal Locke said the size of the movie screen has been increased to allow for physical distancing, and chalk paint will be used to paint large circles on the soccer field to encourage families to stay at least six feet apart.
Locke said there will also be onsite signage and advertising promoting keeping distance of at least six feet from non-household members, wearing face coverings, and using hand sanitizer or washing hands with water and soap when possible.
Presenting sponsor for this year’s films is Brannon Industrial Group.
