TWO INJURED IN SHOOTING THURSDAY IN NAVASOTA
Two men were injured, one by gunshot, during an altercation early Thursday morning in Navasota.
Police responded to a report of shots fired at 1:15 a.m. to the 700 block of Doris Street. According to police, witnesses reported two to three male subjects came upon the victims who were outside working on a car. An altercation occurred, and shots were fired. One of the victims was shot in the chest.
Police said the gunshot victim was flown to a College Station hospital for treatment, and is in stable condition. Authorities did not state the condition of the other man that was injured.
The police department said investigators are continuing to work the scene and conduct interviews. No further details are being released at this time.
