FOUR SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Four people have been sentenced in the latest edition of 21st District Court.
42-year old Rigoberto Cabrera-Garcia of Brenham, has been sentenced to three years in prison on a 2017 arrest for Felony Possession of Controlled Substance.
55-year old Barry Wayne Turner of Brenham has been sentenced to a year in prison for two convictions of Theft of Property—Less than $2500 With Two or More Previous Convictions. He must also paly $343 in restitution.
42-year old Bennie Norman Middlebrooks of Humble was place on five years’ probation and fined $500 for Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also ordered to perform 200 hours of community service restitution.
45-year old Yolanda Newsome of Brenham was placed on five years’ probation for each of two counts: Assault of a Family Member with a Previous Conviction and Violation of a Protective Order with two Previous Convictions – both are Third Degree Felonies. She was also ordered to perform 200 hours community service restitution and attend a batterer’s intervention program.
