Through “Operation Desert Pie”, Royers is looking to ship 500 pies to active military members stationed stateside or internationally for those with an Army Post Office or Fleet Post Office address.  The restaurant is asking for donations from companies and individuals to begin sending out pies.  $100 will send two pies to active military members.

Royers co-owner Johnathan “J.B.” Royer said the restaurant delivered about 250 pies roughly ten years ago when it partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project, sending pies to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Now, the restaurant is partnering with the Lone Survivor Foundation, and hoping to spread some cheer along the way.

"Operation Desert Pie" runs through July 4th.  To learn more about “Operation Desert Pie”, or to donate, visit www.royersroundtopcafe.com, or call co-owner Jamie-Len Royer at 512-789-3347.
