LCRA COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Applications for community grants from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) open today (Wednesday).
The applications are open until midnight on July 31st and can be submitted at lcra.org.
The grants, funded through the LCRA’s Community Development Partnership Program, must be between $1,000 and $50,000 and must have matching funds of 20 percent for grant funding over $5,000.
In the most recent round of grants, LCRA and it's wholesale electric customers earlier this year awarded more than $525,000 to fund 28 projects.
Eligible organizations include volunteer fire departments, emergency responders, local governments, schools, libraries, civic groups, museums, and other nonprofit organizations. The grants are not available to individuals, for-profit entities, professional associations, social service projects, or limited-use facilities.
