BOMBERS RIP TRIO OF HOMERS IN SUNDAY NIGHT WIN

The Brazos Valley Bombers won the rubber match in Victoria Sunday night, 11-4.

Brazos Valley unleashed a barrage of home runs.  Taylor Smith, Grayson Tatrow and Sean Arnold all went yard in the victory. A 5-run 3rd and 4-run 5th put the Bombers in the lead and they never looked back.

Arnold reached base each of the 5 times he stepped up to bat and scored three times. Kelby Weyler had his fourth-straight multi-hit game , securing hits seven and eight of the year. He leads the squad with a .500 average.

On the bump, Brazos Valley starter, Trevis Sundgren lasted three innings allowing three runs on seven hits.  Zach Griggs was lights out in relief. The UTSA Junior threw 2.1 innings, struck out six, allowing only one hit and one walk. The Generals employed seven different pitchers in an effort to snuff out the Bombers lineup.

The Bombers will be back in action, at the Frisco RoughRiders, Tuesday at 7:05 PM.
