A former Caldwell teacher has been placed on probation after pleading guilty to her involvement with a 15-year old student in 2017.

Jamie Bellamy—formerly Jamie Goforth—pleaded guilty this week to Injury of a Child for her involvement with a male student.  She was placed on seven years’ probation and surrendered her teaching license.

She was originally charged in 2018 with Improper Relationship with a Student.  She turned herself in to Burleson County Sheriff’s deputies shortly after and has since been free on $10,000 bond.

An investigation by deputies showed the relationship began in October of 2017.  Authorities say the incident occurred off campus.

At the time of the incident, Bellamy was married to Caldwell High School athletic director and head football coach Bobby Jack Goforth, who retired following the 2018 season.

  1. Why is she not on sex offender list? People have done much less and are on there for life? No jail time?? I’ll bet if it was judges child more would have been done.
