WASHINGTON CO. REPORTS NINE NEW COVID-19 CASES, 34TH DEATH MONDAY

TOTAL COUNT NOW AT 400, ACTIVE COUNT AT 185

  

Washington County’s total count of COVID-19 cases sits at an even 400, after nine new cases were reported Monday.

The new cases consisted of five women and four men, eight from Brenham and one from Chappell Hill.  The patients include one teenager, two in their 20s, four in their 40s, one in their 50s, and one in their 70s.

Of the 185 active cases, none are hospitalized.  The county also reported its 34th death Monday, while no new recoveries were reported, leaving the recovery count at 181.

According to the Washington County Joint Information Center (JIC), the 400 positive cases—including recovered and deceased patients—make up 1.11 percent of the county’s population.

As of Monday, the county has performed an estimated 4,148 COVID-19 tests.
