JAMES FISHER NOMINATED TO TPPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Brenham City Manager James Fisher has been nominated to serve as a member of the Texas Public Power Association (TPPA) Board of Directors.
During Monday’s meeting, TPPA announced that Fisher will serve a three-year term on the board, expiring in 2023.
The TPPA is comprised of members from 72 different municipally owned electric utilities, electric cooperatives, river authorities and joint action agencies. The members are responsible for the generation and delivery of electricity to more than five million Texans, which accounts for approximately 15 percent of the state’s electricity demand.
Fisher is also an active member of the International City Management Association (IMCA), serves on the Advisory Board for Graduate Education and the Texas City Management Association (TCMA), and the Public Policy Task Force. He has also served on various other committees with the TCMA.
