A Limestone County couple wanted on several felony Theft warrants was arrested Monday in Washington County.

While on patrol in the 10000 block of Highway 36 North, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Kendall stopped to help a driver that appeared to be disabled on the side of the road.  Deputy Kendall saw a man attempting to hook up a trailer containing a skid steer tractor onto a pickup truck with Arizona license plates.

The driver was identified as 53-year-old Theresa Ruth Hamilton, and the other individual as 51-year-old James Russell Hamilton, both of Groesbeck.  Deputy Kendall later learned that the two had a total of six outstanding felony Theft warrants issued in Eastland County, located between Abilene and Fort Worth.

Both were arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of Theft, Theft of Service, and Theft of Service by Check, all between $2,500 and $30,000.  They remain in custody on $15,000 bonds apiece.
