BRENHAM’S SPLASH PAD CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE TUESDAY

  

The City of Brenham Splash Pad will be out of service tomorrow (Tuesday) for minor maintenance. Dane Rau, Director of Public Works for the city, said the maintenance work was timed to coincide with the beginning of the school year in Brenham Public Schools, so to be the least disruptive to patrons.  Rau said the maintenance is covered by the one year warranty and will involve resealing the area on the east side of the Superwave.  The repairs should make the Superwave bucket fill faster, and then dump quicker.   The Splash Pad will reopen on Wednesday, and will remain open from 10:00 AM until dusk every day until the end of September. The new Splash Pad opened in June of this year and has been a popular destination for families to escape the summer heat.
