LAURA UPCHURCH NAMED “LAWYER OF THE YEAR” FOR ELDER LAW IN HOUSTON AREA
Another partner of a Brenham law firm has received prestigious recognition on the annual Best Lawyers® list.
Laura Upchurch, partner with Moorman Tate, LLP, was named Best Lawyers® 2021 Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year” in the Houston area.
Upchurch specializes in civil litigation; probate, guardianships and trusts; and business law.
Upchurch is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and has spoken at numerous continuing education courses for the State Bar of Texas. She has also made presentations for Texas Tech Law School, Houston Bar Association, and the Midland Memorial Foundation.
Upchurch’s article entitled “Using Management Trusts in Lieu of or with a Guardianship of the Estate” was published in the Spring 2019 edition of the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal.
Moorman Tate, LLP recently announced that fellow partner Hal Moorman also received recognition on the list, being named the 2021 Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” in the Houston area.
