DOWNTOWN BRENHAM TO HOST HALLOWEEN-THEMED STORY WALK

Downtown Brenham will be doing the “Halloween Hustle” this fall.

Starting Friday, individual pages from the children’s book “Halloween Hustle” will decorate windows of downtown businesses for a downtown Brenham Story Walk.  The book by Charlotte Gunnufson features Skeleton and his spooky friends as they take part in a dance contest doing the “Halloween Hustle”.

Participants will begin their reading journey at the Visitor Center, where they will pick up a map guiding them to each page of the story.  There is also a QR code available that will take them to a downloadable Google map of participating locations.  Story Walk participants do not have to go into businesses; they just have to find each story page to read posted on an outside window.

The free event, presented by Main Street Brenham, will be available the remainder of September and the month of October, coinciding with the Scarecrow Extravaganza.  Participants will be expected to wear masks per the governor’s mandate and to practice social distancing.  Hand sanitizing stations are available in multiple downtown locations.

More information is available on the Downtown Brenham Facebook page.
