LOCAL MAN APPREHENDED FOLLOWING BRIEF CHASE

A Brenham man is in custody after his arrest following a late-night foot chase.
Just before 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, Brenham Police attempted to arrest 22-year old Darius Toliver in the area of the 1600 block of State Highway 105 near Sabine Street and Williams Avenue.
Tolliver was wanted on an active warrant out of Pardon and Parole for Burglary of Habitation—Parole Violation.
Tolliver reportedly fled on foot and after a brief pursuit was taken into custody by Brenham Police with assistance from the Washington County Sheriff’s office.
Toliver was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention and for the active Warrant.
