LAKE SOMERVILLE CHANGING RESERVATION, PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Visitors to Lake Somerville should expect changes to how they make reservations and payments at the site starting next week.
Beginning Thursday, October 1st, camping and group pavilion reservations are required prior to arriving at campgrounds managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) – in this case, Yegua Creek Park and Rocky Creek Park.
Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-444-6777, by going online to www.recreation.gov, or by downloading the Recreation.gov app on iPhone or Android devices.
In addition, parks will no longer be able to accommodate arrivals prior to 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. Campsites must be reserved for additional dates in order to occupy sites prior to 3 p.m. or to stay after 2 p.m. Campers are required to move sites if unable to book a reservation for the same site.
Cash will not be accepted for boat ramp passes, the USACE Annual Day Use Pass, or the America the Beautiful passes. These services and passes will require payment by credit or debit card.
Officials with the Somerville Lake Office ask that any visitors to the lake who will be in or near the water follow COVID-19 protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and wear a life jacket.
Anyone with questions can call the Somerville Lake Office at 979-596-1622.
