WASHINGTON ON THE BRAZOS TO HOST 3RD ANNUAL BARK IN THE PARK SATURDAY

Dog lovers and their canine companions are invited tomorrow (Saturday) to the 3rd Annual Bark in the Park at the Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site.

The admission-free event will feature a variety of pet-related activities for attendees from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Washington on the Brazos Historical Foundation Administrator Ginger Moreland says guests can look forward to a fun day with their four-legged friends.

Among the vendors and organizations on site will be City of Brenham Animal Services, Grimes County Animal Rescue, dog trainers, pet photographers, and a dog bakery.

All vendors and demonstrations will take place outside and will be sufficiently separated to help with social distancing.  Attendees are encouraged to wear masks inside all buildings and when social distancing cannot be achieved.

Moreland said the event was created to show what Washington on the Brazos has to offer to a different audience.

The event is being hosted by the Washington on the Brazos Historical Foundation and Texas Historical Commission.  Presenting sponsor for the event is DogWatch Hidden Fences of Houston.

Regular admission fees apply for the Barrington Living History Farm and the Star of the Republic Museum.  Dogs are not allowed on the farm or inside any of the buildings.
