FREE WALK-UP COVID-19 TESTING IN WASHINGTON CO. MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

  

Washington County will host three consecutive days of walk-up COVID-19 testing this week, starting today (Monday).

The free testing will be held today, tomorrow (Tuesday), and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the VIP Building of the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The testing is open to anyone looking to get tested, regardless of symptoms.  According to Emergency Management Coordinator Bryan Ruemke, this walk-up testing will use the cheek swab method, unlike the nasal swab used at the county’s previous drive-thru testing sites.

Participants do not need to register beforehand, but they do need to bring an ID and provide contact information in order to be notified about their results.  Ruemke said results should be available in about 48 hours.
